A New School Year, A New Story
October – with all of it’s spooky, pumpkiny goodness – has arrived, which means I’m officially giving myself permission to lean into autumn reading.

And I have a fun excuse to do exactly that this year! The Holloway Boy, which if you missed it, is my debut novel, is part of the October Love BookFunnel collection this month!
One of the things I love about the beginning of The Holloway Boy is that it starts at the beginning of a new school year. The FMC’s first year of college to be exact. There’s something about that particular moment—the new classes, new routines, budding friendships, and and the feeling that the year ahead could change the rest of your life—that makes it feel like a natural fit for a fall collection! And, okay, September might be more traditionally back-to-school, but October is way more fall-coded where I live in the Deep South.
The October Love collection brings together a bunch of books that are perfect for settling in as the seasons change – if you’re lucky enough for that to really happen where you live, lol. There are plenty of different stories and flavors of romance represented, so there’s a good chance you’ll find something new to add to your TBR.
And, of course, I’d be humbled and honored if you gave The Holloway Boy a spot on your shelf and in your TBR if it resonates with you, and if it you haven’t read it already (or if you have and want to read it again – we love rereads!).

The collection runs October 1–31, so if you’re looking for something new to read this month, go have a browse!
Happy reading! And tell me what books you love from this list!
