Coming September 18, 2025

I am so excited to announce the cover reveal for my first full-length novel – The Holloway Boy! This is a dream come true, and I can’t wait until you can all hold a copy – paperback or digital – in your hands next month! If digital is your preference, you can already pre-order at most major bookstores at books2read.com/hollowayboy. Print copies will be up shortly!

I can’t wait for you to meet Shelby and all the other characters that make up her world.

I’m so grateful to everyone who helped me get to this point, including Emily from Emily’s World of Design, who made my vision come true with this lovely design, and Kelly from Love Books Tours, who worked with all of the lovely LBT Crewbies to make my cover reveal last week a gorgeous, wonderful day!

About the Book

Cover by Emily’s World of Design

Starting over isn’t as simple as leaving. Sometimes, the past follows you.

Shelby Marshall is ready for a fresh start. College means freedom — from her too small hometown, her complicated family, and the blurred lines of a relationship that should never have happened.  But when a familiar face shows up in her new city, Shelby finds herself pulled back into a relationship she just can’t seem to shake.

Trying to rewrite her story and overcome her past, Shelby navigates first love, betrayal, and the trauma of growing up too fast. As new friendships form and long-buried secrets rise to the surface, she starts to question everything she thought she knew about love, faith, and herself.

The Holloway Boy is a New Adult story of resilience, growth, and learning to trust your voice — even when it falters.

About the Author

Amorina Carlton (she/they) is an award-winning Southern Fiction author and former journalist. This is their first published novel. Amorina is currently working on editing her second novel, the first in a series of crime fiction novels. They have been writing since they could hold a crayon and telling stories before then. Amorina’s love of writing stems from her love of reading, which was inspired by their late mother, who read to them every single day. In addition to writing, Amorina is an editor, activist, and, most importantly, a caregiver to her dad with dementia and her autistic daughter.
