My Thoughts

I grew up in the height of werewolf/vampire frenzy, so I always love a good vampire story. Yes, I read the Sparkly Vampires, but I wasn’t a huge fan. I have read a ton of different ones, including some with thriving online fandoms, but for whom I’ve never met another actual human reader. So, anyway, generally, my kind of book. I’m usually a team vampire. Can I explain why? Eh, something about living forever and not going through a painful transition seems more appealing. It’s probably also that they are often presented as more intellectual, while their werewolf counterpart is more animalistic.

It really depends on the mythos which is more appealing. Because this is more romance than fantasy, we don’t get a whole lot of mythos in this book, which is fine. It’s more about the love story. And I’m signing up for an excruciating love triangle (square if we count the a**hole cheating husband) featuring a vampire and werewolf every time. What mythos we got was pretty standard. The romance was sweet, featuring redemptive arcs, purpose-filling storylines, and regenerative, heart-awakening love stories. Overall, any lover of love will enjoy this story as a good romance with a peppering of supernatural elements throughout.

So, if you love supernatural romance or you don’t mind supernatural in your romance, this is a good one to pick up!

I am so grateful to the author and Love Books Tours for including me in this tour, and I can’t wait to read book two, set for Fall 2025!

Who’s It For?

If you love a steamy romantasy, a compelling love triangle, and a strong redemption arc, this is a fantastic story for you! Featuring werewolves, vampires, witches, and more, this European romance keeps things moving from start to finish. It’s chock-full of action, romance, steam, and loveable characters. There are some pretty strong trigger warnings and a few scenes of open door, graphic adult situations, so be forewarned.
