Creator of Strong, Sassy, Southern Women

I am a Southern women’s fiction writer who just published my first novel in September 2025. I’ve been a writer my entire life, and I finally found myself in the position to focus on my dream of finishing my first book when I left my last traditional job in 2017. I also had my little girl the following year, so full-time writing didn’t quite become my priority until a few years later. Because of the strange work-from-home world we all found ourselves in in 2020, I did get to focus more on writing and finished the first draft of my next novel during NaNoWriMo in 2021.

My first novel, “The Holloway Boy.” It is a social commentary on abuses of power filtered through a gothic, small-town romance set in the South.
In addition to caring for my autistic almost 8-year-old, my primary job of a caregiver includes taking care of my dad, who developed vascular dementia and other serious health issues about two years ago. I also developed an autoimmune disorder last year that we’re working on getting treatment for. So, I’m not going to be churning out five books a year, whether I find a miracle cure for me and my dad or not. But I hope to deliver quality over quantity!
Besides working on my writing, I offer editing services for authors. I focus on self-published and indie authors who want to deliver a polished product to their readers. I believe in offering an affordable product and helping make sure no one feels like they can’t hire a human editor in these changing times. So, after looking at my prices, please don’t feel like it’s impossible. I’m always up for negotiations. I especially want to help those who struggle with English because it isn’t their first language or perhaps because it isn’t their strongest subject. If you have a great story to tell, I don’t want grammar told hold you back!
I’ve spent most of my life in small Southern towns until I made a move to New Orleans, the smallest big city around. It’s still in the South, but it has its own unique culture. Now, we’ve made the move to the suburbs of the Greater New Orleans area (by about two streets), but it’s the best of both worlds – access to the small town life and the big city when I want it.
My goal here is to share my thoughts on writing, book reviews, and some of my own work with you. So far, it’s book reviews for the win. But I’ll eventually get around to sharing more, I promise. But if you’re here, I assume you love books. And I love books, too, which is why I love sharing them with you!
Thanks so much for stopping by.
